Operations Division - Salt Lake City - Technical Specialist/Analyst - Client On Boarding - Client Data Management (Position # 22203)

Client Onboarding is a centralized department within Securities Operations responsible for carrying out due diligence on clients and managing reference data around client relationships. The Client Data Management team is responsible for capturing and maintaining the enterprise data set of core attributes that define our client, their relationships and subaccounts across all products and regions globally.

Client Onboarding, in this context, is defined as the processes for facilitating the establishment and maintenance of a client relationship with the firm, including, but not limited to due diligence, supporting documentation and account opening.

The Central Accounts Group facilitates the maintenance of client and broker static data within the framework of the Compliance requirements for the Equities, Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities. The group primarily opens, activates and terminates accounts in addition to managing the accuracy of static data for existing accounts through external third party vendor applications and direct communication from clients and internal business units.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage requests for the creation and maintenance of organizational entities, legal entities and subaccounts to facilitate clients doing business with Goldman Sachs
  • Be a data steward for the firm in ensuring the highest level of quality for reference data
  • Understand how and why reference data is captured and ensure conformity to capture and maintenance policies and procedures
  • Manage risk and control of entity and account data and ensure completeness and accuracy of data
  • Participate in special projects and assignment to standardize processes across product lines and regions globally
  • Be a change agent for continuously improving the operating model and technology platform
  • Interact with clients and business partners on a regular basis to ensure reference data is accurate and fresh
  • Partner with technology to identify innovation solutions to sometimes complex problems

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Consummate team player with an ability to work well with others and actively engage in solving problems for clients
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Operations, Legal, Credit, AML or Compliance experience a plus
