Organized by industry teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Research Analysts together work across industries, geographies and asset classes to spot market anomalies and important thematic issues. Those stocks that Analysts identify as having the great potential return are put on our Conviction List. Teams of Equity Research analysts include:

Credit Research Analysts make investment recommendations for the corporate debt and credit derivatives of issuers in various industry sectors. Teams are divided into High Grade Credit (also called Investment Grade) and High Yield Credit. Credit Research pays particular attention to the quality of a company's cash flows and balance sheet. They must also consider the corporate documents governing various bonds. Credit Research Analysts are located in the Americas.
Commodities Research Analysts use economic models to analyze supply-and-demand fundamentals in order to derive price forecasts for global commodity markets. Commodities Research teams are located in the Americas and Europe.
Strategy Research Analysts formulate equity market forecasts and provide opinions on both asset and industry sector allocations. Strategy Research teams are located in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The Global Markets Institute is the public policy arm of Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research. Its mission is to provide research and high-level advisory services to policymakers, regulators and investors around the world. The Institute leverages the expertise of Research and other Goldman Sachs professionals, as well as other highly-regarded thought leaders, to offer written analyses and host discussion forums.
Economics Research Analysts formulate macro-economic forecasts for economic activity, foreign exchange rates and interest rates based on the views of its global and regional economists. Goldman Sachs Economists are located around the world.
