Our new office in Dubai commenced operations on March 11, 2007.
As part of the development of our franchise in the Middle East, Goldman Sachs received a license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) in September 2006. We have had a team in Dubai since then. Having a strong presence on the ground has already proved successful. The firm recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NCB Capital, a subsidiary of The National Commerical Bank (NCB) of Saudi Arabia, to pursue a broad strategic relationship and financial investment.
