Five years ago, I didn’t expect to be working here. When I joined Goldman Sachs, I was looking for positions related to process and quality management in the service industry. Since I had no background in finance, I was not looking for opportunities in the financial industry and had no expectations of ever joining Goldman Sachs.

As we know, the finance industry is extremely fast paced. My advice to anyone considering a career in finance is this: It can be very challenging and interesting provided one keeps abreast of what is happening in the industry, takes responsibility, adapts to change and works well with people. That goes for all divisions of the firm, including technology, operations, compliance and others.
