I joined the firm through a colleague from my former job. I applied to Goldman Sachs because of its reputation as a firm that truly values and develops its people.

During my interview I was impressed by the calibre of representatives that I met, and how focused they were about meeting their careers and job responsibilities.

Within my first week here, I thought I’d never be able to make it. There were only three people in our group. One colleague was actually out of the office on the summer analyst program. One evening he came back into the office after his classes to finish up some work and when we met, he said ‘Don’t worry! Everything is easy here! In the beginning things might look daunting’. It felt oddly like a relief! And obviously, I quickly realized how high the benchmark was.
