During campus recruiting at the London Business School, I came into contact with an acquaintance who had recently joined Goldman Sachs. He explained the culture of the firm and informed me of an available position. I applied and went through all the interview process and accepted the offer since I thought it was a good fit for me and that I could do well, given my past experiences at a leading chemical company.
As a junior analyst, my learning curve has been steep, requiring extra efforts to keep abreast of the fast-paced equity research world. Goldman Sachs University plays a central role in offering a variety of programs ranging from valuation technique, to hands-on experience, from our senior analysts. I have benefited from many training programs at Goldman Sachs University, including a three week training program in New York during my first year at the firm. In addition, through a regular mentoring program, I’ve received a wealth of guidance from senior managers.
