The Credit Risk Management and Advisory department has a lot of daily interactions with other areas of the firm, such as Sales and Trading, Operations and Legal. This allows us to gain insight into how our role functions within the broader picture. We also keep an open dialogue with the business area to understand the latest trading trends and the market developments of various products. This is a very dynamic role with continuous learning opportunities and challenges.

My latest challenge has been people management, where I have to manage the direction of my team and supervise my subordinates’ career development. This is important because Goldman Sachs is a meritocracy – contributions are recognised by managers. Managers encourage and motivate others to take on new challenges all the time.
