Back in the days when I was job hunting, I wanted to work at Goldman Sachs, given its prestigious presence, but didn’t think I would actually be accepted. I expressed my interest in Credit Risk during my interview for the summer internship program and was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work in this department.

My advice to those considering a career in finance would be to do as much research as possible on the industry, the firm and the department to which you are applying. Be prepared for the intense working environment, and come with an open mind to accept new challenges as they are presented to you.
