I worked in the same field when I was an analyst and wanted to continue to work in it after business school. I did not expect to be working at Goldman Sachs, but I was certainly hoping that I would!

I would advise people interested in finance to never suppress their curiosity and to always learn more about their potential careers from friends, people they meet during recruiting and school career development offices. At the same time, I would encourage them to learn the building blocks of accounting and finance before embarking on the career, as that would help them get a better head start!
