Since its inception in 1999, the Consulting Services team within Prime Brokerage has worked with a substantial number of hedge fund managers, providing assistance to start-up and existing fund managers alike. The group is truly global in nature, dedicated to helping managers establish and run better businesses.

With years of experience with hedge fund operations and a broad range of knowledge, the Consulting Services team is able to leverage a wealth of institutional learning when helping hedge fund managers.

Our Process
For start-up hedge fund businesses, the team can be involved in many aspects of a hedge fund's launch. This may take the form of assisting hedge fund managers with developing a business plan and risk management practices, and a wide range of services surrounding the infrastructure of the management company. The latter may include: property consulting and property search, introduction to key vendors in the fit-out, telecoms and technology sectors, technology infrastructure and systems consulting, business continuity planning, assistance with human resource staffing and training, and the establishment of firm policies and procedures.

The Consulting Services team guides hedge fund managers through the various business challenges they face in their development. For existing hedge fund businesses, the team assists clients as their businesses grow and evolve. For example, this may include working with them as they develop and implement their growth strategy, as they seek to resolve human resources issues and as they implement policies and procedures throughout the life of their business.

In addition to ongoing one-to-one consulting, the team hosts a variety of seminars and events aimed at keeping clients informed of the latest issues, regulatory developments and trends in the hedge fund industry.
